Day 01: Arrive Seoul
Upon arrival at Soul airport we are warmly receive and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day is free.

Day 02: Seoul
Our tour of the South Korean capital city starts with the panoramic Mt. Namsan lookout, South Gate Market and Changdeokgung Secret garden. This tour of Soul will give us a memorable experience of both old and new Korea. In Changdeok Palace, shaded beneath the boughs of huge old trees lovely pavilions and lotus ponds welcome you back into the Joseon Kingdom. A visit to South Gate Open Market, the largest in Asia, is followed by a visit to Mt. Namsan Park. Afternoon is free. (B)

Day 03: Seoul
Day free. Seoul is probably the hottest shopping bazaar in the Asean group of countries. You have the day to yourself to shop till ….. (B)

Day 04: Seoul / Singapore (fligh)
Morning transfer to the airport for our flight to Singapore where we are met and transferred to our hotel. As we arrive in Singapore, one of the cleanest cities in the world, we are warmly welcomed and transferred to our hotel.
Overnight: York Hotel, Singapore (3 nights) (B)

Day 05: Singapore
Our experience of the Orient starts with a morning tour of Singapore that includes a drive through the very interesting and busy Orchard Street followed by a tour of the famous Indiantown, Arabtown and Chinatown. Each area exemplifies the rich multicultural background of Singaporeans. We take a glimpse of the world famous Raffel Hotel. Afternoon is at leisure to explore Singapore and take advantage of the bargains in this duty free city-state. (B)

Day 06: Singapore
Day free. Singapore is another place known for it’s duty free attractions. You have the time to make the most of it. (B)

Day 07: Singapore / Tampin / Malacca (train)
Early morning we are transferred o the railway station for an interesting three hour train ride to Tampin (train timing subject to change). Enjoy the rural scenery as the train passes through villages and plantations. Upon arrival our local guide meets us and we proceed to the historic city of Malacca.
Overnight: Renaissance Hotel, Malacca (2 nights) (B)

Day 08: Malacca
Today we tour the historic sites of Malacca including the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple – the oldest functioning Chinese temple in Malaysia, Kampung Kling Mosque, Jonker Street (Antique Row), Baba and Nyonya Museum, Stadhuy’s Building, Malacca Clock Tower, Christ Church and the famous Porta de Santiago. (B)

Day 09: Malacca / Kuala Lumpur (road 144Kms)
We get a great country view as we drive to Kuala Lumpur where, upon arrival, we tour this capital city of Malaysia. We start with a photo stop at the King’s Palace followed by a visit to the National Mosque and Railway Station, the national Monument, Independence Square, Sultan Abdul, photo stops at the famous Samad building and the Selangor Club, St. Mary’s Church and the world tallest free-standing flagpole. Continue to visit the Seri Mahamarian Temple and colorful Chinatown for bargain hunting. We culminate the city tour with a visit to the tallest Communication Tower in South East Asia for a panoramic view of the city.
Overnight: Ming Court, Kuala Lumpur (3 nights) (B)

Day 10: Kuala Lumpur
This morning we tour the countryside where we visit Ambassadors Road, a pewter factory (Malaysia is one of the biggest producers of tin), Batu Caves, the sacred cabe temple for Hindus and a batik factory. Balance of the day is at leisure to discover the bargains, cafes and restaurants of Kuala Lumpur. (B)

Day 11: Kuala Lumpur
Day free. Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia is fast catching up with other Asean capitals as a shopper’s paradise. With a large local manufacturing set up, KL is a popular shopper’s destination. KL also offers many additional attractions that can be arranged. (B)

Day 12: Kuala Lumpur / Penang (flight)
Today we are transferred to the airport for our flight to Penang. Upon arrival at Penang airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight: Bay view Beach Resort, Penang (2 nights) (B)

Day 13: Penang
Morning is our tour of this interesting town and beach resort which includes the 3rd longest Reclining Buddha in the world. Next is the Botanical Gardens which offer lush green surroundings with a wide variety of tropical plants and bird life. Visit the Kek Lok Si Temple built in 1904, the most beautiful and largest Buddha Temple Complex in South East Asia, known as the Temple of 1000 Buddhas, and Fort Cornwallis where Captain Francis Light first landed. Continue to the old part of Georgetown where the Khoo Kong Si Clan House is located. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride. Late evening we have free time to explore the nightlife along Batu Ferringhi – the Penang style. (B)

Day 14: Penang / Hong Kong (flight)
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival at Hong Kong airport you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 15: Hong Kong
Morning we tour this famous city. Our tour covers a visit to Victoria Peak – Hong Kong’s most popular spot where we get as excellent panoramic view of the city, followed by the Kowloon Peninsular, the Repulse Bay with its huge statues of Tin Hau – goddess of the sea. We also visit the floating village of Aberdeen. Afternoon and evening is free for shopping or enjoying the nightlife and night shopping that Hong Kong offers. (B)

Day 16: Departure from Hong Kong
We bid farewell as we are transferred to the airport for our departure flight. (B)

TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1 Hometown - Hong Kong

You begin your adventure. Depart Vancouver or from your hometown to Hong Kong via Cathay Pacific Airways. En-route you will cross the International Dateline.

Day 2 Hong Kong - Kuala Lumpur

Arrive in Hong Kong International Airport, you will take an immediate connection to Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 3 Kuala Lumpur

This morning, you will be picked up from hotel for Kuala Lumpur city tour. On this tour, see the contrast between the Indo-Moorish architecture and the ultra modern edifices. Photo stop at the Royal Palace. Visit the National Museum, journey through the beautiful Lake Gardens and pause for a moment at the National Monument. Drive pass the elegant Jamek Mosque, the bustling Chinatown and the Independence Square. Photo stop at Petronas Twin-Tower - the symbol of modern Malaysia and the tallest twin-tower in the world! Final stop is to witness pewter craftsmanship at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre. In the afternoon, you will explore more about Malaysia, a multi-racial and religious country. This tour covers two unique and attractive places of worship. First is spectacular Thean Hou Chinese Temple. This striking, 6-tier temple is dedicated to the Goddess Tian Hou (the Heavenly Mother) and features elements of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. Next is the Batu Caves - a massive limestone outcrop, its interiors are home to a Hindu shrine lined with different deities. The shrine itself is located deep inside the high caverns which take 272 steps to reach. On the way back, visit a local Batik centre to see how the Batik being designed and made. The tour ends with a demonstration of fine jewellery-making by OE Design, near KLCC. (B/L)

Day 4 Kuala Lumpur - Malacca - Kuala Lumpur

Today, you will take a full-day excursion to Malacca. Depart from Kuala Lumper, take a relaxing, scenic 2-hour drive south of Kuala Lumpur takes you to Malacca, the oldest trading port in Malaysia which has undergone Portuguese, Dutch and English rule. Visit Stadhuys – the Dutch Square and from there take a walk up St. Paul’s Hill for a panoramic view of the Malacca Straits and the old town of Bandar Hilir. At the top are the famous Portuguese Fort de Santiago and the ruins of St. Paul’s Church, lined by 17th Century Dutch tombstones. Stop for a typical ‘Nonya’ lunch before taking a stroll through the Antiques Row at Jonker Street. The visit to Malacca is completed with a stop at Cheng Hoon Teng, the oldest Chinese Temple in Malaysia (B/L)

Day 5 Kuala Lumpur - Penang

Transfer to airport and depart for Penang. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. (B)

Day 6 Penang

Today you explore Penang - the Pearl of the Orient and the oldest British settlement in Malaysia. The tour covers the highlights of Penang Island within one day. It begin by going round the island with visits to the Batik Factory, typical Malay villages and the unique Snake Temple. View Asia’s longest bridge and lunch enroute at a local restaurant. Afternoon, tour the 720-metre high Penang Hill and enjoy the funicular railway ride, the cool, refreshing climate and the fanastic view at the summit. Drive through Colonial Georgetown before returning to the hotel. (B/L)

Day 7 Penang

After breakfast, you will take a full-day tour which takes you to visit the Tropical Agro Farm in Teluk Bahang and take a farm tour of some 140 species of local and regional tropical fruits. Later visit Penang’s only arboretum and learn of the origin and by-products of various trees. Adjourn to Penang Butterfly Farm, a sanctuary for over 120 species of rare and exotic butterflies. The farm is complete with a hatchery and offers regular "insect and reptile" shows to visitor. Next, is the Tropical Spice Garden planted with some 500 living specimens of plants and spices of the tropics. Lunch is at Garden’s Coffee Terrance. (B/L)

Day 8 Penang

Today is a free day for you at your leisure. (B)

Day 9 Penang - Hong Kong - Homeward bound

Bid farewell to Malaysia and depart for your home. It is the same afternoon when you arrive home as you will re-cross the International Dateline. (B)

Today visit an Orangutan rehabilitation centre where you will observe how the rangers prepare the once captive Orangutans to
return to the forest. In the afternoon you will tour the city of Kuching. This city is one of the few left in S.E. Asia that will remind

Day 7.Kuching
Free day to explore and shop on your own. (B)
 
Day 8.Kuching
This morning you will travel by car for 45 km. to Bau Town, with a stop to a bird’s nest processing factory. At Bau Town, you will visit a Chinese Temple, cemetery and pepper farm. Then onward to Gading National park where you will embark on a hiking trail to observe the rainforest. You may find a blooming Rafflesia (largest flower in the world) waiting for you. (B)
 
Day 9. Kuching/Batang Ai
Depart Kuching in the morning for Batang Ai. Stops at a local market in Serian town, and also to observe wild orchids and pitcher
plants. Lunch will be served in Lachau, a small upcountry Chinese village. Here you can still observe barter trading between the natives of Kalimantan, the Chinese shop owners and the natives Saawak. After lunch, proceed to the beautiful Batang Ai Lake where you will board a ferry for a 30 minute ride across the lake to the Hilton Batang Ai resort. (B,L)
 
Day 10. Batang Ai
Your morning will start with a fascinating visit with natives of Borneo. You will board a native longboat for an hour journey across the lake to reach a native longhouse. Upon arrival, you will be taken for a tour around the longhouse to meet the natives and their families. You will observe their local musical instruments and traditional war dances in full ceremonial regalia. Enjoy a native lunch and afterwards, take a short jungle walk to visit their farms and the surrounding forests. (B,L)
 
Day 11. Batang Ai
A free day for you to relax at this lakeside resort, or to explore the rainforest on your own. (B)
 
Day 12. Batang Ai/Damai Beach
After breakfast, depart the resort for Damai Beach area, with a stop at Lachau (small Chinese village) for lunch. Then on to the white sandy beach of Damai. (B,L)

Day 8 cameron highlands • Penang • Your day begins with a pleasant drive downhill to Ipoh, the city of millionaires’, which made its fortune from the rich tin mines of the Kinta Valley. En route visit Kellies Castle built by a Scottish rubber tycoon, and the famous Cave Temples in Ipoh. Travel North to Kuala Kangsar with its unique Ubudiah Mosque, a magnificent building with a golden dome, and the Palace of the Sultan of Perak. Cross the Penang Bridge (the longest in Asia) into the island of Penang and check into your hotel. Accommodation: Bayview Beach Resort for 2 nights. (B/L)
Day 9 Penang • Today you explore Penang, the “Pearl of the Orient”. Visit the famous Snake Temple. If you wish, have your photo taken with a venomous Pit viper draped over you!
