Day 1. Canada/Singapore
Depart Canada for the tropical island of Singapore via Vancouver.
 
Day 2. Singapore
Cross the international dateline and arrive in Singapore the next day. Upon arrival you
will be met and transferred to your hotel.
 
Day 3. Singapore
A morning tour showcases the gardens and parks that earned Singapore its nickname,
“The Garden City”. Sights include “little India”, Chinatown, the President’s Palace,
Empress Place in the heart of the colonial district, and the bustling waterfront.
The final stop is the renowned Royal Botanic Gardens, with its famous orchids. (B)
 
Day 4. Singapore
A free day to explore Singapore on your own. (B)
 
Day 5. Singapore/Kuching
Today spend the morning at your leisure, and then in the afternoon transfer from the hotel
to the airport for a flight to Kuching. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (B)
 
Day 6. Kuching
Today visit an Orangutan rehabilitation centre where you will observe how the rangers prepare the once captive Orangutans to
return to the forest. In the afternoon you will tour the city of Kuching. This city is one of the few left in S.E. Asia that will remind
you of old Asia. (B)
 
Day 7.Kuching
Free day to explore and shop on your own. (B)
 
Day 8.Kuching
This morning you will travel by car for 45 km. to Bau Town, with a stop to a bird’s nest processing factory. At Bau Town, you will visit a Chinese Temple, cemetery and pepper farm. Then onward to Gading National park where you will embark on a hiking trail to observe the rainforest. You may find a blooming Rafflesia (largest flower in the world) waiting for you. (B)
 
Day 9. Kuching/Batang Ai
Depart Kuching in the morning for Batang Ai. Stops at a local market in Serian town, and also to observe wild orchids and pitcher
plants. Lunch will be served in Lachau, a small upcountry Chinese village. Here you can still observe barter trading between the natives of Kalimantan, the Chinese shop owners and the natives Saawak. After lunch, proceed to the beautiful Batang Ai Lake where you will board a ferry for a 30 minute ride across the lake to the Hilton Batang Ai resort. (B,L)
 
Day 10. Batang Ai
Your morning will start with a fascinating visit with natives of Borneo. You will board a native longboat for an hour journey across the lake to reach a native longhouse. Upon arrival, you will be taken for a tour around the longhouse to meet the natives and their families. You will observe their local musical instruments and traditional war dances in full ceremonial regalia. Enjoy a native lunch and afterwards, take a short jungle walk to visit their farms and the surrounding forests. (B,L)
 
Day 11. Batang Ai
A free day for you to relax at this lakeside resort, or to explore the rainforest on your own. (B)
 
Day 12. Batang Ai/Damai Beach
After breakfast, depart the resort for Damai Beach area, with a stop at Lachau (small Chinese village) for lunch. Then on to the white sandy beach of Damai. (B,L)
 
Day 13-15. Damai Beach
Three free days to relax on the beach. (B)
 
Day 16. Damai Beach / Singapore
Today your must say goodbye and transfer from the hotel to the airport for a flight to Singapore. Upon arrival you will be met and
transferred to your hotel. (B)
 
Day 17. Singapore / Canada
Say goodbye to the Orient and depart Singapore for flights home. (B)

DAY 1 - Arrive Singapore

DAY 2 - Singapore

Visit the Underwater World and the Dolphin Lagoon, where you can watch the adorable pink dolphins perform their natural antics such as spy-hop, tail-flapping and vocalization. Visit Images of Singapore, where you'll embark on a journey to experience the colourful culture and vibrant heritage of Singapore, re-told through life-size figures, animatronics and special effects. Enter a world of colours at the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom and allow 1,500 live butterflies from over 50 species, flutter about you or admire up to 3,000 species of insects. End the tour with a scenic Cable Car Ride where you can see the beautiful landscape of the city.

DAY 4 - Singapore - Malacca

Early check-out this morning as you depart at 8:00 am for Malaysia across the causeway and proceed to visit the Grand Palace and Royal Abu Bakar Museum in Johore. Built in 1886 in renaissance style with Anglo Malay influence, you will view the art treasures of the priceless Royal collection and ancestral relics of the Sultanate of Johore. Proceed to a bazaar-style market followed by an early lunch (own expense). Journey to historical Malacca. Check-in and free at leisure.

DAY 5 - Malacca - Kuala Lumpur

After breakfast, an historical city tour of Malacca. Visit Porta De Santiago (Portuguese Fortress), Stadthuys, 1600's Dutch buildings, Jonker Street [antique row] and finally Transquerah Mosque. After lunch (own expense) depart for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital, passing through rubber and oil palm plantations.

DAY 6 - Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, the capital city is neat and clean with well planned gardens and paved sidewalks that make strolling a pleasure. Visit the National Monument, National Mosque, railway station, Batu Caves - a Hindu temple built into limestone outcrop and a pewter factory. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 7 - Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highlands

Journey north to the hill resort of Cameron Highlands. Enroute pass through historic towns of Slim River and Tapah town, located at the foothills of Cameron Highlands. Drive up to 5000 ft above sea level and enroute stop at Iskandar Waterfalls, visit aboriginal villages, vegetable and tea plantations.

DAY 8 - Cameron Highlands - Penang

Depart Cameron Highlands via the Simpang Pulai Highway to Penang. Before reaching Penang, see the Ubudiah Mosque in Kuala Kangsar & visit the Orang Utan Island at Bukit Merah Laketown. Boat ride to the island to see the Orang Utan - the soft natured primates of Borneo. Cross the Penang Bridge (spanning 13.5 km - the longest bridge in Asia and the fifth in the World) into the island of Penang. Check into your hotel.
