Located approximately 20 kilometres away from Kuching, the Semenggoh Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Center is one of Malaysia’s best-known sanctuaries for the endangered orang-utan. A decidedly less kitschy site than its more popular counterpart, Sabah’s Sepilok Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre, it is home to roughly 20 injured and orphaned ‘Men of the Forest.’

The Semmengoh Orang-Utan Rehabilitation Centre Tour allows you to get a rare glimpse as well as observe the behaviour and interactions of these shy ginger-haired apes in their native environment.
