Day 1 canada departure • Depart from Vancouver airport on your flights to Singapore. (Other departure cities available)
Day 2 singapore • Arrive in Singapore and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation: Furama City Centre Hotel for 2 nights.
Day 3 singapore • Today, a city tour will include the Botanical Garden known for its magnificent display of orchids, a drive by City Hall, St. Andrew’s Cathedral, and Mt. Faber. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 4 singapore • Malacca • Your tour from Singapore starts with a relaxing train ride (may be replaced by coach during holidays) across the causeway and into the city of Johor Baru. Admire the rural countryside, oil palm, rubber and small vegetable and fruit plantations. Disembark at Kluang, a town in the state of Johor, and continue to Malacca by coach. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a historical city tour on foot visiting the various heritage sites such as St’s Paul Hill, Porta De Santiago, Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and Jonkers Street, also known as antique street. Accommodations: Equatorial Hotel. (B/L)
Day 5 Malacca • Kuala lumpur • Depart for Kuala Lumpur - the capital city of Malaysia. Upon arrival, a city tour will include the sights of the National Palace, the National Museum, the National Monument, the National Mosque, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the Royal Selangor Club and a drive by the Petronas Towers. Accommodation: Istana Hotel for 2 nights. (B/L)
Day 6 Kuala lumpur • This morning visit the Batu Caves in the suburbs of Kuala, reached by a straight flight of 272 steps. Also visit Malaysian handicraft centers where batiks and pewter wares are made. The afternoon is at leisure to do some shopping or enjoy sights of Kuala Lumpur. (B/L)
Day 7 Kuala lumpur • cameron highlands • This morning, depart to the Cameron Highlands (the centre of Malaysia’s tea production). Witness the “Orang Asli” (Malaysian Aboriginals) complete with their blowpipes. After lunch, check in to your hotel. Accommodation: Equatorial Hotel. (B/L)
Day 8 cameron highlands • Penang • Your day begins with a pleasant drive downhill to Ipoh, the city of millionaires’, which made its fortune from the rich tin mines of the Kinta Valley. En route visit Kellies Castle built by a Scottish rubber tycoon, and the famous Cave Temples in Ipoh. Travel North to Kuala Kangsar with its unique Ubudiah Mosque, a magnificent building with a golden dome, and the Palace of the Sultan of Perak. Cross the Penang Bridge (the longest in Asia) into the island of Penang and check into your hotel. Accommodation: Bayview Beach Resort for 2 nights. (B/L)
Day 9 Penang • Today you explore Penang, the “Pearl of the Orient”. Visit the famous Snake Temple. If you wish, have your photo taken with a venomous Pit viper draped over you! Continue to explore the various attractions in Georgetown including the Khoo Kongsi “Dragon Mountain Hall” clan house with its ancient design built to resemble an Imperial Palace. More sites include Fort Cornwallis and the Temple of Wat Chayamangkalaram, which houses a 33-metre reclining Buddha. (B/L)
Day 10 Penang • canada • Transfer to the airport for your flights home. (B)
