Fantastic experience and joyful surprises - Sylvie Berthiaume | ||

A trip full of joyful surprises, namely to see that Malaysia features are very different from those of the other Asian countries I have visited so far (China, Vietnam, Lao). All the guides and chauffeurs, who were different every day, proved to be absolutely well-trained, professional, efficient and friendly. The hotels (Hyatt Regency in Kota Kinabalu, Sukau Rainforest Lodge on the river, and Park Royal in Kuala Lumpur), were beautiful, neat, secure, very comfortable, and all members of staff encountered were amongst the best I have encountered in my numerous trips. And the food, so diversified due to numerous origins, was always great. All my objectives for this trip were fully reached, and more: it’s a 10/10, and I left with regret because it was a perfect balance between nature discovery, cultural shock in the positive way, and great comfort. I also fell in love with the utmost elegance of traditional clothing, still worn today in the cities as well as in the countryside, by many Malaysian people I hope to go back to cover other parts of Malaysia, and hopefully to overcome my fear of water and fish, to benefit from its amazing diving and sea abundance. I am sure that Canadians, not only by British Columbia but even from the center and east parts, would love Malaysia and that they will be truly happy to learn about it. They already travel a lot to China, Vietnam/Cambodia, India, Thailand and Bali. So the long trip to Asia is not an issue, and they would be thrilled to discover such peaceful and beautiful Malaysia.
