Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center

Orangutan The word ‘orangutan' means man of the jungle. Orangutans that have been rescued from illegal captivity or have lost their mothers are rehabilitated until they adapt to the natural conditions of the jungle. Facilities here include chalets and a cafeteria.
Getting there: The center is located in town of Sepilok, 15.53 miles west of Sandakan. Local buses are available from Sandakan while long distance coaches operate from Kota Kinabalu.
